Chanel or Celine, however I see you Christians or Chloe, damn them C's too

I've neglected my blog for way too long and decided it was time to show it some love. The last few months have been so hectic that I haven't been able to dedicate any time to writing - final year at university is not a joke. Since Drake's NWTS dropped in summer its been the single most played album on my itunes. I won't even try to deny how good it is. These days though, I find myself returning to Pusha T. So it seems that KING PUSH might actually deserve the title he's given himself if My Name Is My Name is anything to go by. When the production credits include Kanye, Pharrell, Swizz Beats and The-Dream, you reserve the right to brag. A few people I know have even called it album of the year. Whether I agree is unimportant; there have been too many albums that can contend for that position - Drake's NWTS, Kanye's Yeezus, Cole's Born Sinner. Getting into the discussion about which is the best would just make my brain hurt so I'll sidestep by concentrating on how deep Pusha's MNIMN is. Since he released Numbers On The Board with that Kanye beat, Pusha fans have been waiting for this album. Especially since his mixtape Wrath of Caine left a lot to be desired. He did however redeem himself with MNIMN; he delivered the familiar drug references with such rawness that it makes you consider following in his footsteps. This is a definite hip-hop album; Pusha isn't really trying to gain commercial success. The last track on the album - S.N.I.T.C.H. - featuring Pharrell makes you realise how hungry the 37 year old Push is compared to most 15 years his junior.

So I didn't intend to talk about Pusha T at such length but I guess the album warranted a certain level of attention. What Pusha lacks for in looks he makes up for in raw talent and a high level of taste. The guy can dress! I don't care what anyone says. Being endorsed by Kanye means you have a certain place in the world of hip hop fashion and Pusha definitely holds his own. He's always name-dropping designers in his tracks; Givenchy, Celine, Chanel...the list goes on. On Let Me Love You he even mentions MCM. For those who don't know, MCM make the nicest backpacks. I've been wanting one for ages but the price tag always stops me. Being broke is no fun. But a girl can always dream...
They're definitely not to everyone's taste but I love them; especially the cobalt blue and navy versions. Whenever Autumn comes round there always seems to be a rush to call cobalt blue the "it" colour of the season as if that hasn't happened for the last 5 years in a row. I won't complain though, I love it. Considering how cold its been, a cobalt coat seems the way to go. I have an addiction for coats I won't lie: within weeks of buying this yellow coat from Zara (which my friend says makes me look like the big bird from Sesame Street) I gave in to my shopaholic tendencies and bought a black fur lined coat from Topshop. I can't lie, wearing it makes me feel like I should be on the arm of a rapper; it's THAT kind of pimp-style fur coat. But it keeps me warm and it looks good so I can't complain.

Block colours are every girls best friend. A yellow coat is not as scary to wear as a lot of people think, although being told you look like the bird of Sesame Street is never cool. I find myself looking back to Gucci's SS13 collection. It's probably not a good idea seeing as its currently winter but meh, Summer will roll around soon enough.

Bright yellow and cobalt blue has to be one of my favourite colour combinations ever. For some reason they just go, or maybe its just me. Besides I'm getting sick and tired of all the berry tones I'm seeing right now.Winter's miserable as it is without everyone wearing dark colours all the time.

Zara have the cutest yellow sweater I saw in store the other day; its more of a mustard tone so it's less frightening for those who stay away from overly bright coloured. This paired with a pair of navy chinos or even just a dark pair of jeans would be such a bright way of dressing for how cold it seems to be these days. Safe to say I've already bought it (I need to stop):
